Hello there. I’m Joyce Hui (aka rurupoi). I’m an art director, illustrator, and designer.
I received my master’s degree from the University of Toronto Biomedical Communications program, and I have over a decade of experience telling science stories through award-winning interactive installations, animations, and illustrations. I’m currently the Head of Art & Design at AXS Studio in Toronto.
When my professional hat is off, you can find me capturing everyday moments in my sketchbook, hiking on nature trails, and making indie games. You’ll also find me tending to my many houseplants!
